Via Ferrata climbing
A new Via Ferrata has been built on the "Shepherd's Wall". It is a complex of climbing routes secured by steel ropes and footrests. It also includes a rope bridge. The height is 95 metres and route lengths range from 150 to 170 metres. The easier routes are suitable even for children above 9 years, some routes are only for experienced climbers. You can refresh yourself at the top in a lookout restaurant named "Pastýřská stěna" ("The Shepherd's wall") – although locals call it "Nebíčko" ("Little Heaven"). It is about a 15 minute walk along the Elbe Cycle Route from the campsite. After passing the Tyrš Bridge turn left and continue for about 100 metres.
If you have not even tried climbing, we do not recommend trying it on your own. We will be happy to lend you equipment and a guide to learn everything you need to know. Equipment rental 10 €, guided tour from 36 € / person. The price includes equipment rental, practice techniques, a guided tour, a bottle of water, and a graduation certificate. Experience time is between 1 and 3 hours.
